RME AUDIO INTERFACES ADDED
After considerable thought we have switched up our converters, moving away from UAD and over to RME interfaces and converters. In our humble opinion we found them to a be more prisine sound and conversion. Adding the UFXiii, Fireface 802 FS along with the ADI-2 DAC for a total of 24 imputs to the studio. Upon first listen I was blown away buy the perceivable difference. Not to say the UAD isn’t great. I feel as a studio we want to always start from a neutral base then add color as we wish. It’s the smallest of margins.

PMC 6-2 MONITORS ADDED
We have decided to swap out the ATC monitors for the PMC 6-2’s
The PMC seem to be working a little better in the room as an all round reference for mixing, mastering monitoring. It has allowed us to remove the Sub and with some extra room absorption tightened up the bass in the room and eliminated more rumble caused by the sub. We are finding that the translation has improved. Not to say we don’t love the ATC’s they are amazing speakers! Anyone would be lucky to have either of these flagship monitors. The PMC’s also look great I might add!
